How would go about locating a family that I knew in the 1970-1980s? Fred & Margaret Gardiner. He, I believe had his own insurance company. They lived at 4 Whinnysty Lane. They had three daughters: Christine, Karen & Allison. An English woman was a friend to my grandmother in Rhode Island, where was born & raised, moved back to Heysham in the early 70s. We wrote back & forth & when I graduated from college in 1973, my gift from my parents was a month long stay with her. As she was elderly, I stayed with her Nephew, Fred Gardiner, and his family. I got on well with the whole family & wrote back & forth to Christine. When she married in 1980, I flew in for the wedding. She married Andrew Pattison & at last writing approx 1986, she had 2 children & was living at Buckingham Rd in Morecambe. It is her I would to know about, but thinking her parents who should be in their 70s, might still be in Heysham & could help me re-connect with Christine.
Why, you ask at this time? I've thought about her on & off thru the years & recently been cleaning the basement & found our letters & re-read them & decided I'd like to know what had become of her. If you can help or point me in the direction that I should take would be appreciated.
