| It's certainly an ever-present topic right now, and as in every other area of life, Heysham Neighbourhood Council has to keep a watchful eye on it's finances. HNC is a self funding body, and relies heavily for it's continued existence and presence in the Community to funds raised by car boot sales! These in turn rely very heavily on good weather! On a less unpredictable note, we have recently been awarded a 'Gateway Grant' from Lancashire County Council for the long overdue upgrading of our IT systems. Many thanks to Councillor Jean Yates for her invaluable help with that application. Our Treasurer, Paul Mallett, has done an outstanding job in optimizing our finances and presents the following report, which gives a clear picture of HNC financial situation as we approach our year end. | |

Side Track
Paul Mallett is a resident of Heysham since 2000. Treasurer of Heysham Neighbourhood Council and active member of the local community. Paul is also employed full time by the local Hospital trust as a Dental Care professional and Maxillofacial Prosthetist and Technologist. Paul also manages the Maxillofacial Laboratory based at the RLI, providing medical technical and clinical services, Bay wide.
In addition Paul lectures at professional conferences nationally and internationally and has held many high profile committee/ association positions.
He has two sons, Daniel and Aaron.
